Each triathlon presents its own unique challenges, and no two time trial routes are identical. Athletes may encounter extreme heat and windy paths, as seen at Ironman Kona, or tackle steep ascents and technical descents on more mountainous courses like Ironman Nice. The only unwavering factor is the clock, which ultimately determines the outcome.
The new Trinity Advanced SL is designed to enhance performance, merging exceptional aerodynamic efficiency with dynamic speed and a wide array of adjustable features. Crafted to be significantly lighter and more effective than the previous Trinity Advanced Pro generation, it incorporates innovative integrated solutions to maximize speed, providing a crucial edge in any race against time.
With straightforward adjustment options, this bike offers the versatility of two setups, excelling in both triathlons and time trials. You can choose between the Trinity Advanced SL series, primarily tailored for triathlons, and the Trinity Advanced SL TT frameset, specifically engineered for time trials. Both options utilize the same frame made from Giant’s premium Advanced SL composite, featuring AeroSystem Shaping Technology.
The distinction lies in the configuration: the Tri series includes various models with different components, including the top-tier Trinity Advanced SL 0. All models in this series come equipped with an integrated hydration system and a spacious bento box.
Working with Giant’s professional triathletes including 2022 Ironman World Champion Gustav Iden, the development team focused on making Trinity more dynamic and adaptable.
“I remember getting the Trinity up in Font Romeu [France] last summer, and really that is the perfect place to test a bike because you have challenging wind conditions, you have corners, you have the flat sections, you have basically everything,” said Iden, who won the Challenge Turku triathlon in Finland last July on a prototype model. “What I noticed the most was how fun it was to ride. Especially downhill, that’s always a good indicator that the bike is good.”
The Trinity Advanced SL TT frameset has undergone rigorous testing and competition by riders from the Jayco AlUla WorldTour squad, featuring an integrated down tube water bottle and cage designed specifically for optimal aerodynamics.
In terms of performance, the specifications highlight a remarkable overall weight reduction of 558g, a 5.9-watt aerodynamic advantage, and an enhanced fit with 24 times more customizable armrest settings.
From windswept flats to climbs, corners and descents, the new Trinity Advanced SL delivers dynamic speed and control when every second counts. Easily adaptable to triathlon or TT, and featuring aero-integrated hydration and fueling systems, it’s lighter, more aerodynamic and smoother riding than the previous generation, with greater adjustability to dial in position and fit.
